Hi friends! It’s the start of a new month, so time for another Month in Review blog!
I started this monthly series as a way to bring you into my world a little more.
In this series, I fill you in on what’s happened in the past month and talk about new goals I’m setting for the upcoming month.
You will also find challenges and questions for you to consider when thinking about your monthly goals this month!
You can see what goals I previously set for February here: Month in Review + February 2021 Goals.
So, let’s get into it!

Month in Review – February 2021
MAKING TIME FOR QUALITY TIME
Covid has made me appreciate the quality time I’m able to spend with friends and family.
It’s made me more conscious about how I spend my time and made me more present when I choose to spend time with people.
Get-togethers are few and far between, so that’s why when we do see each other, they are moments that are valued twice as much.
I’ve noticed that we’re all more present with each other because we’re not constantly bouncing from one thing to the next.
Life has slowed down quite a bit. I guess it took me until February 2021 (almost a year into Covid) to realize why I appreciate the extra time just to be wherever I am.
CAPTURING MOMENTS IN TIME
I started to use my camera a lot more in February.
I’ve been bringing it along wherever I go, capturing random moments and filming vlog-style videos of the days I actually make it out of the house.
I’m gaining confidence in front of the camera and am using the footage to practice my video editing skills.
It feels like I’m creating a visual diary of my life which I love!
I still have so much to learn, but I love the process of learning.
new SELF-DISCOVERY product
Mindfulness and self-discovery were key topics throughout February.
So, it only made sense to create a free daily self-reflection worksheet for you to download.
The worksheet comes in a workbook that includes five *bonus* writing exercises to deepen your reflection on specific topics.
This is the second free product that I’ve created for my Lifestyle by Remi readers (the first one is a downloadable list of 40 gratitude journal prompts you can find here).
Self-reflection is an integral part of personal development because it allows you to learn from your mistakes and, ultimately, helps you make better-informed decisions about your future.
Check out this blog here to learn more about the benefits of self-reflection. Or, fill out the form below to grab your free worksheet.

March 2021 Goals
CHLOE TING 28-DAY CHALLENGE
I do not get as much movement or exercise in my routine now that I’m working from home.
Pre-Covid I used to go to pilates and yoga 4-5x a week and would constantly be walking all around my office going from meeting to meeting.
I miss feeling strong, and it feels like my body is tightening up, so this month, I’m challenging myself to finish one of Chloe Ting’s workout challenges.
I discovered Chloe Ting’s workouts over the summer and really enjoyed her workouts – but they kick your butt!
I’m excited to get back on track with my fitness again!
All her workout videos are available for free on YouTube, so if anyone wants to join me, I’ll be doing her 28-day challenge linked here.
Your monthly challenge: Are you getting enough movement throughout the day? Reflect and set a movement goal for yourself this month.
PURGING THE OLD
For some reason, March feels like a brand new beginning. Spring feels like it’s in the air (at least in Southern California)!
I was holding off on purging my closet because I was worried that I’d give away too much and not have any clothes when the world opens up.
But the more I look at my closet, the more I’ve realized that those clothes just aren’t me anymore.
I’m in this mental space where I’d prefer to let go of older items that are taking up space.
I’d rather make room for things that better fit the current me.
Your monthly challenge: Clear out and clean up an area of your house to make space for the new. Once the area is cleared, take a moment to reflect on how you feel afterward.
PROUD ASIAN AMERICAN
The rise in hate crimes recently against Asian Americans has been alarming and disheartening.
But I feel like there’s an awakening happening in the Asian American community.
Finally, we are finding our voice and taking up space.
We are making more of an effort to ensure that we are seen and heard.
This inspired me to compile a list of books that either talked about or were written about the Asian American experience.
I wanted to find literature that reflected our experience.
Books that weren’t all about trauma.
Books that explored identity but also normalized being Asian American (#representationmatters).
My goal is to have a blog with my book recommendations available by the end of March.
In the meantime, I highly recommend Minority Feelings: An Asian American Reckoning by Cathy Park Hong.
Your monthly challenge: Find a culture to learn more about this month.
