Love finding spots like this in Tokyo, where the city is a little quieter. This udon shop is tucked away, not too far from a very busy part of Ikebukuro (near Sunshine City).

My whole day was spent discovering corners of Tokyo like this, and I’m showing you everything in my next YouTube video.

Played tourist in my own city again, this time at the LA Central Library 🏛️

Finally got my physical library card (love the centennial design! 🩵), grabbed some old catalog cards for the Central 100 stamp rally, took in the most beautiful murals, and somehow ended up staying way longer than planned exploring the gallery exhibit on the library’s history.

Fun fact: My dad’s a retired architect and worked on some of the LA public libraries across the city! My goal is to try and get a stamp at some of the ones he designed 😬

Whenever I visit Tokyo, I always leave a day or two in my itinerary to take a few day trips outside the busy city. I’ve found that these little trips allow me to experience Japanese history and culture more fully.

These places are all doable as day trips — trust me, I’ve done them myself! And I have vlogs and guides that share my experience for each.
