Stay hydrated

If youโ€™re like me, sometimes drinking the recommended amount of water every day can be difficult.

But during the summer, itโ€™s extra important to stay hydrated.

Dehydration can be dangerous, and warmer weather usually means your body loses more water throughout the day.ย

So keep water nearby and stay diligent about your consumption during the summer months.

Update skincare routine

Summer is a great time to switch up your skincare routine to accommodate the warmer weather.ย

Sunscreen should already be a staple in your skincare routine, especially in the summer; it is A MUST!ย

Additionally, youโ€™ll likely want to switch out your heavier cream moisturizers for moreย summer-friendlyย options (especially if you live in more humid areas).ย

Pick up a book

Summer is a time to kick back and relax. Take a break from social media and seek out slower forms of media, like reading, instead.

Find a fun summer novel to indulge in or use the time to read that book youโ€™ve wanted to read!

Take time off

Book either a vacation someplace new or a staycation somewhere close. Allow yourself to step away from your routine and maybe schedule an appointment to pamper yourself instead!

Go outside

Get some vitamin D and enjoy the warmer weather. Do some outdoor activities like going to the park, having a picnic, going to the beach, or barbecuing outside.

Make plans with friends and family

Find time to get together with friends and family that you donโ€™t usually see often. Use the summer season as an excuse to see each other again.

Create a summer playlist

Curate a playlist that fits this yearโ€™s summer mood for you. What type of vibe are you trying to create this summer?

Wake up earlier

The long summer days can be magical – but also hot! Try waking up earlier than usual during the summer to enjoy the cooler temps in the morning.

Create a summer bucket listย

Write a shortlist of activities youโ€™d like to do this summer. Keep it short and simple. That way, it will seem more attainable, and youโ€™ll be more motivated to complete the list.

Refresh your homeย

The start of a new season is a great excuse to refresh and re-energize your home. Declutter and organize your space again. Make room for the new season.

Follow me on Patreon โ˜€๏ธ

Lately, part of my self-care has been stepping back from traditional social media like Instagram and TikTok. The downside? I started missing what I love most about creatingโ€”connecting with a community of like-minded souls.

Thatโ€™s why I started a Patreon. Itโ€™s my little cozy corner of the internet where I share behind-the-scenes moments and more personal updates that donโ€™t always make it to my blog or YouTube.

Iโ€™d love for you to stop by, join in, and maybe leave me a note to say hello.
