A new Japan eki (station) stamp added to my collection! 🚉 ✨ I got this one on a rainy day when all I wanted to do was explore a new quiet area in Kyoto.

I visited a temple that’s been on my Kyoto list, got my goshuin stamp and then rode this local line back towards my hotel.

I love collecting eki stamps and being able to look back at all the stations I’ve visited.

Most temples in Kyoto are packed—but not this one. Myōman-ji Temple was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. If you’re looking for a calm escape in Kyoto, this special spot is worth the detour. 🤍

Now that I’ve been to Kyoto a few times, I’m trying to venture out beyond my normal go-to’s. Discovering this temple was such a treat! No crowds, just a few locals there to enjoy the bloomed flowers and quiet grounds.

Yes, I am back in Japan! 🇯🇵 And I’m feeling SO inspired and rejuvenated.

I’ve realized recently that so many photos from past trips go nowhere because I think too much about HOW to share them. (Or, I just get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of photos & videos I have lol)

So this is my attempt to post whatever, whenever.

A “Japan Travel Diaries” — ✨ photo dump edition ✨

Fun little snippets from past and current trips with background stories and musings about what they mean to me.

➡️ This first round of photos is filled with moments from my last night in LA with my girls, the first days in Tokyo, and my latest Wakayama adventure to help my dad with his business.

Life lately has been filled with so many new core memories with friends and family back home in LA and Japan.

This trip was planned at the last minute. Honestly, this is the most laid-back I’ve been about a Japan trip. 🤣

Instead of jam-packing my schedule, I really wanted to be intentional about creating space for slow, peaceful moments. 🌸

These could be random walks through new neighborhoods, reading time in a park, or photos of all the pretty flowers and amazing food I get to eat along the way!

There’s so much more that’s happened so far that I can’t wait to share with you! But all of that will come through future YouTube videos on my channel.
