Hi, I’m Remi. I’m a Japanese-American content creator and storyteller based in Los Angeles. I was born in Fukuoka, Japan, and adopted as a baby by third-generation Japanese-American parents.
I create soft, introspective travel content that helps women feel confident exploring Japan, especially solo. Through vlogs, slow travel guides, and cultural reflections, I hope to make Japan feel not only accessible but deeply inspiring.
My connection to Japan is layered. Though I was born there, I wasn’t raised there. English is my first language, and like many Asian Americans, I’ve spent years navigating what it means to belong, both at home and abroad.
My content is rooted in that journey: rediscovering the country I was born in, while building a life and creative voice here in LA.

I’m a freelance content creator and digital marketer focused on travel, tourism, and lifestyle storytelling. - Where are you from?
I was born in Fukuoka, Japan, adopted by a Japanese American family, and raised in LA. - What’s your background?
Before content creation, I worked at creative agencies in LA and San Francisco with brands like Hulu, Heinz, Volkswagen, and Stone Brewing. - When did you start Lifestyle by Remi?
I started this platform during the 2020 pandemic, at a time when I craved more intentional living and joyful discovery. It’s grown into something much deeper: a place to explore identity, inspire travel, and share the stories I’m still learning to tell.
