Daily Habits to Improve Your Life
Separate your work and sleep areas.
Be intentional about where you bring your work.
For example, make your bedroom a sleep sanctuary where no work is allowed – this means no work laptop or checking emails in bed!
Allow yourself to shut off your “work brain” and let your room be the safe space for you to shut off and recharge completely.
Meditate and focus on your breath.
Find a moment of silence in the morning to sit quietly and focus on your breathing.
Use this time to hit pause on the world around you and check in with yourself.
Do a quick body scan to see where you’re holding tension and breathe into that area.
Or practice just…being.
Express gratitude.
Practice expressing gratitude all day, every day! Start actively looking for things to be grateful for in all situations – good and bad.
The more you practice gratitude, the more second nature seeking the good will become.

Tidy up your space.
Your environment can have a significant impact on your productivity. Take a moment every day to tidy up after yourself. Clean up and make space for new energy.
Create an environment that you want and ENJOY being in.

Reflect using a journal.
Add journaling to your daily morning and night routine. Journaling is a powerful tool to reduce stress and become more self-aware.
Use your journal to work through your feelings and thoughts.
Or, you can do what I do and use it to strengthen the feelings and power behind your positive affirmations.
Be mindful of your thoughts.
Remember that you are not your thoughts and your thoughts are not your reality.
Pay attention to those moments where you are lost in your mind. Then, bring yourself back to the present.
Notice your thoughts but don’t let them consume you. Instead, aim to let them pass by like clouds.
Pay attention to your words.
Words are so powerful. You have the power to shape the world around you by choice of words you use to describe things.
Notice the words you are using throughout the day. Challenge yourself to reframe statements as necessary.

Be intentional with your time.
Don’t do something just to do it. Pay attention to where you spend your time. What are you prioritizing in your life? What drains and gives you energy?
Value your precious time.
Take messy inspired action.
This one is for all my perfectionists and planners out there!
Don’t wait for all the pieces in the puzzle to be perfect before you take action.
Start messy! Take your first steps and adjust as you go.
The best way to learn is to DO.
Because you can plan all you want, but you won’t be able to optimize until you start to get results from your actions.
So, just start!
