Looking for the best beginner blogging tools worth investing in? Well, you’ve come to the right place.
This blog doesn’t include the basic baseline tools like a hosting or email marketing service.
No, these are the “nice-to-have” tools that I pay for because they make my life easier and give me peace of mind as a new blogger.
They help me level up my business and are tools I consider to be “must-haves.”

4 Must-Have Beginner Blogging Tools
1. Grammarly
What is the number one thing bloggers do? WRITE. WRITE. WRITE.
Grammarly is a must-have if you are a blogger because good writing is crucial for your business.
Heck, good spelling and proper punctuation are important in any professional field.
You can use the app to double-check your emails, products, social captions, and more!
I use Grammarly for EVERYTHING.
You can even add extensions to your computer that will allow Grammarly to automatically check your work in existing documents (meaning you don’t always have to copy and paste your work into the Grammarly app).
There’s truly nothing better than the peace of mind and confidence Grammarly gives me.
2. Canva Pro
Many people will say they can get away with the free version of Canva, but I’ve found all the premium features super helpful to have access to!
Canva Pro version gives you access to premium imagery, templates, photo editing features (like remove background and Duotone), graphics, audio, and more!
As a new blogger, I use Canva every day to resize images, create content for all platforms (Instagram, blog posts, Pinterest, Facebook, etc.), and, most recently, for product creation.
3. Skillshare
I’m going to be completely honest with you. There is SO MUCH you can learn for free online from sites like YouTube or even by doing a simple Google search.
But Skillshare gives you access to structured courses, teachers that are professionals in the field, and most importantly – inspiration!
You wear many hats as a new blogger. You suddenly become a copywriter, art director, CFO, designer, product specialist, etc.
Skillshare provides you the resources and tools to build your skills.
And I’ve found it’s a great place to find videos specifically made to help get your juices flowing when you’re in a creative rut.
Again, there’s a ton you can learn online for free. Still, I personally think Skillshare is worth the investment, especially if you’re looking to enhance your creative skills.

4. Styled Stock Society
Because I come from an advertising agency background, I know a thing or two about usage rights implications!
I love Styled Stock Society because not only do you get access to beautifully styled photos (#aesthetic), but you also get access to a ton of customizable templates and other business resources that other stock photography sites don’t offer.
For example, the Canva templates available are great design starting points, especially if you’re like me and don’t have design training.
Styled Stock Society has made it so much easier for me to elevate the look of my blog and other marketing materials I’ve created.
