Stay hydrated.
If you’re like me, sometimes drinking the recommended amount of water every day can be difficult.
But during the summer, it’s extra important to stay hydrated.
Dehydration can be dangerous, and the warmer weather usually means your body releases a lot more water throughout the day.
So keep water nearby and stay diligent about your consumption during the summer months.
Update skincare routine.
Summer is a great time to switch up your skincare routine to accommodate for the warmer weather.
Sunscreen should be a staple in your skincare routine already but, even more so in the summer, sunscreen is A MUST!
Additionally, you’ll likely want to switch out your heavier cream moisturizers for more summer-friendly ones (especially if you live in more humid areas).
Pick Up a Book.
Summer is a time to kick back and relax. Take a break from social media and seek out slower forms of media, like reading, instead.
Find a fun summer novel to indulge in or use the time to read that book you’ve wanted to read!
Take time off.
Book either a vacation someplace new or a staycation somewhere close. Allow yourself to step away from your routine and maybe schedule an appointment to pamper yourself instead!
Go outside.
Get some vitamin D and enjoy the warmer weather. Do some outdoor activities like going to the park, having a picnic, going to the beach, or barbecuing outside.
Make plans with friends and family.
Find time to get together with friends and family that you don’t usually see often. Use the summer season as an excuse to see each other again.
Create a Summer Playlist.
Curate a playlist that fits this year’s summer mood for you. What type of vibe are you trying to create this summer?
Wake up earlier.
The long summer days can be magical – but also hot! Try waking up earlier than usual during the summer to enjoy the cooler temps in the morning.
Create a summer bucket list.
Write a shortlist of activities you’d like to do this summer. Keep it short and simple. That way, it will seem more attainable, and you’ll be more motivated to complete the list.
Refresh your home.
The start of a new season is a great excuse to refresh and re-energize your home. Declutter and organize your space again. Make room for the new season.

Eat fresh foods.
Incorporate light and refreshing foods into your diet, like salads or fresh summer fruits like watermelon. The fresh food will be delightful, especially on hot summer days.
Go on an adventure.
Use summer as an excuse to go on an adventure. Visit somewhere you’ve always wanted to, go off the grid for a little, and embrace trying something new!
Embrace yourself.
Take time this summer to get to know yourself better—Check in with how you’re doing and reflect on how you want to glow up.
Who said goal setting was only for the new year? Set aside a day (or weekend) to revisit your goals, check your progress, and maybe make some new ones.
