A Full Day at Tokyo Disneyland (Is it worth a visit?)
Come with me to Tokyo Disneyland for the first time and see for yourself if it’s worth a visit.
This was the most spontaneous, unplanned Disney trip I’ve ever done! We had so much fun exploring all the different lands, food options, and souvenirs at Tokyo Disneyland. It was also cool to see the special Donald Duck takeover event, “Quacky City.”
10/10 recommend visiting both Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea if you’re able to!

Tokyo Disneyland Overview
Tokyo Disneyland opened in 1983. It was the first international Disney resort and the first Disney park in Asia. It features familiar lands similar to those of other Disneyland parks.
The Tokyo theme park is 115 acres, compared to Disneyland Park in Anaheim, which is only 75 acres.
Disney does not own Tokyo Disneyland or its companion park, Disney Sea. The Oriental Land Company owns and operates Tokyo Disneyland, and Disney licenses the intellectual property to them.
How much does it cost to go to Tokyo Disneyland?
Ticket prices for Disneyland in Tokyo are much more affordable than visiting Disneyland in Anaheim. When we went (in May 2024), ticket prices to Tokyo Disneyland were 7,900 yen per person.
How do you purchase Tokyo Disneyland tickets?
Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea tickets are sold two months in advance at 2 pm Japan time. Tickets can not be purchased at ticket booths. You must buy park tickets beforehand unless you’re a Disney hotel guest.
The Tokyo Disney Resort’s official website has a calendar that shows available tickets. Ticket prices vary depending on what day you visit the park.
