First off, did you know there are two Getty museums in Los Angeles?
Theย Getty Center is located farther inland in Brentwood and houses Middle Age to Present Day art in modern architecture.
Theย Getty Villaย is closer to the ocean in the Pacific Palisades and houses Greek and Roman antiquities in a recreated Roman country home*.

Tips for visiting Getty Villa
How much is admission?
FREE admission, but you have to get an entry-time reservation online here.
Where do you park?
- You can Self-Park for $20 in the Parking Garage. Note that purchasing parking tickets in advance is suggested (to limit in-person contact).
- You can also get parking covered for BOTH Getty museums by asking the Museum Information Desk for a Getty Center parking coupon (only valid same-day).
- No street parking is available. You need a permit to park in the surrounding neighborhood.
- Rideshares or taxis can drop you off in the frontโjust let the attendants know, and they’ll tell your driver where to go.
Is it family-friendly?

Food options?
There’s a cafe that opens at 11 AM, a coffee kiosk, and a place to get Mediterranean-inspired afternoon tea.
Note the Garden Tea experience is only available Thursdays and Sundays and requires a reservation.
